How to Get the Most Out of a Short Reading

Short readings vary in terms of length but are often around 3 to 10 minutes and may address just one question.

One of my favorite things is to sample! Whether it’s a new hair product, the latest skincare line or a delicious food, I’m all for checking out the freebies and then deciding if I want more. For many people, however, the offer of a free psychic or Tarot reading can be frustrating because they often ask a “yes” or “no” question. In theory, there’s nothing wrong with this, but what clients often are not told is that the answer from the psychic’s perspective is usually “Yes, and…” or “No, and….”

Simply put, there’s guidance that comes with the “yes” or “no” that’s critical to really being able to make a decision in your best interest. So, what can you do?

One of the best ways to make the most of a short reading is to ask, “What do I need to know about” a situation. Then the psychic or Tarot expert can work with the energy to present the options with their advantages and challenges, so you can make the best choice for yourself.

Another great question can be, “How can I….” This, too, lets the psychic work with the spiritual energy to reveal what’s available to you.

True story: In the past, when I’ve worked psychic hotlines, the number one question I get is, “Is he/she/they cheating on me?” And the number two question is, “Does he/she/they like me?”

On many occasions, the client would say that they only wanted to hear a “yes” or “no” for the answer. This made me absolutely crazy! Here’s why.

Once I read for a woman who demanded I only tell her “Yes” or “No” to her question, which was—you guessed it—”Is he cheating on me?”

Spirit showed me that this woman’s boyfriend had not cheated but that he was definitely interested in another woman, and those feelings would likely result in something happening. The answer to my client’s question was actually a “no,” but that wasn’t the whole story that she needed to hear.

She wouldn’t listen and went along her way thinking her relationship was fine because she didn’t have all the information. I wish I could say that it didn’t bother me, but it did. A lot.

Another client was eager to ask a man he met out on a date. He wanted to know if the guy liked him and would say, “Yes.” And, of course, all I could say was yes or no to answer his question. Ugh.

Well, turns out the object of my client’s affection did like him and would agree to go on a date. But he was also married to or deeply involved with a woman! As soon as I tried to utter another phrase suggesting my client reconsider, and the reason why, the phone went dead.

In both of these cases, if the clients had reworded their question and been open to giving me just a minute or two more, they would have saved themselves immense heartache.

(BTW: I know some of you are saying that if you have to call a psychic to find out if you’re boyfriend is cheating, it’s probably not a relationship you should be in. And, I wholeheartedly agree. Either they are cheating or there’s a severe lack of trust, neither of which is good for a relationship!)

Anyhow, when you have the chance for a short or mini reading, take full advantage of it by wording your question in a way that allows all the info you need to come out in a short amount of time.
